Carpet Cleaners

Different Types of Carpet Cleaners

Normal cleaning of carpets is achieved by regular vacuuming of the carpets.  When they collect heavy dirt and stains that cannot be removed by vacuum, you will need some carpet cleaners to clean them. It can be more convenient and inexpensive, if you have your own cleaners. You will not have to depend on the carpet cleaning services.

You can find  many  models of carpet cleaners in the market. All of them come with different  features. A few of the most popular brands are Hoover, Dyson, Potomac, Bissell and Rug Doctor. They supply different types of cleaners for various applications. The following are the most popular types of cleaners for carpets:

Most carpet cleaners use wet processes for cleaning. It is necessary for you to check your carpet for fastness of its color.

Vacuum Cleaners:

Vacuum cleaning is the very common way of cleaning the carpets to remove the loose dust, fibers and debris and make  them look fresh. You may vacuum the carpets daily or two or three times in a week, depending upon the movement of the people in your house. You can select  a vacuum cleaner for your home from  upright, canister or  stick  types of vacuum cleaners.

Deep Cleaners:

When the carpets get spills and stains, you will have to do deep cleaning with cleaning solutions. The stains may be due to spilled ice cream, tea, coffee or anything. This type of carpet cleaners do  scrubbing with rotating brushes.  The dirty liquid is  pulled out along with the debris and the dirt with  a mighty  suction pump. The  deep cleaning is required to protect the carpets from being spoiled with stains, discoloration and wear. There are portable deep cleaners that can be easily used to remove spots and stains from the carpets. Deep cleaners come in upright, canister and portable designs.

There are shampoo carpet cleaners, which are specifically  designed to remove  all types of stains and dirt from the carpets.
The shampoo cleaners are most suited with the deep cleaners and steam cleaners.

Bonnet cleaners:

They are almost  similar to the floor buffer machines.  A cleaning pad is placed onto the carpet.  The buffer is immersed in the cleaning solution. A suction pump creates suction at the top of its bonnet and sucks all the fibers, dust and dirt from a carpet under it. The process is very quick. A bonnet cleaner is an expensive equipment and it is used only in some big houses.

Steam cleaners:

The steam cleaners are the most useful carpet cleaners for homes.  They spray soap or detergent solution onto the carpet. Next, they clean the carpet  with rotating brushes and then suck the dirty water containing  dirt and fibers using a  powerful suction pump.  The steam cleaners function in different ways.  Some steam cleaners are  equipped with  heaters.  They remove the  dirt and fibers from the carpet very effectively. They have separate tanks for clean and dirty water. A few types of steam  cleaners leave the carpets wet for some time. When the carpet is dried, it  becomes clean and fresh. These machines are very economical as compared with the other varieties of carpet cleaners.

A combination of a  vacuum cleaner  and a steam cleaner is   most commonly used in several homes.

When you plan to buy carpet cleaners, it is better to look at the different types of equipment, before you select those that will meet your needs.
